At the farm...

Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture ) started up again last week and we are all thrilled to be back at the farm for our fifth year.

I am a huge fan of CSA's. They are just such an easy, accessible way to work, at a grassroots level, towards a better world, while simultaneously ensuring the health of your family. It's a no loose situation.

For our children (and I suspect we are not the only ones!) "farm" is synonymous with popsicles. In addition to fresh picked produce, fields to frolic in, a sense of community, and a strong nurturing environment, our particular CSA has a sweet little farm shop full of locally produced delicacies. My guess is that the all fruit pops delivered by the "popsicle lady" early Saturday mornings, are consistently their most popular. For our kids and many others, it just wouldn't be a trip to the farm without a popsicle.

The boys were so excited to think that perhaps this year Galen would be old enough to join in their weekly ritual. And so he has...

The flavor is ginger-peach in case you are wondering. And it was very yummy. I know because I just managed to sneak a taste before he started yelling at me!
