Can you call something that you've only done twice a tradition?? Well, it's one that I plan on continuing, so if it's not a tradition yet, it will be!
It started last year with Juliet; a birthday present to myself. I have to say that it felt really, really luxurious and soul nourishing to make something for myself. After the gift making rush of the holidays and birthday(s!) it feels like a very special treat to craft something just for fun, just for me.

Since not much that fits me right now will fit me a couple of months from now (I hope, I hope... I'm trying very hard not to look back at the pictures of me from last year because I know what jeans I'm wearing under that sweater, and the teeny tiny, well, comparatively speaking, number inscribed on the tag of them.) A hat seemed like the logical solution.

I also like your Juliet on you.
Beautiful pictures! Thanks for brightening a somewhat dull day here.
I am so glad you made something for you! The hat is beautiful - looks like it would feel so luxurious and cozy at the same time :)
Nice! Good color, spices things up for a Mama.
ItÅ› a beautiful hat!
One day there will be a year when I can actually remember people's birthdays. And then my mother will be overjoyed. Or fall down dead from shock. Either or. So a week after the fact, Happy Birthday my darling one. I miss you all very much, but hopefully we'll be up for a visit very soon.
