Caring for toddler, with an upset tummy, in a house with no running water, really sucks.
Coming down with a stomach bug, the night before your 2nd birthday, when Mama and Daddy were going to take you to the aquarium for the first time come morning, really, really sucks.

Any chance he will believe a time warp has occured, the fairies have stopped the clock, or something, and miraculously his birthday is not now but in two days' time, when he is all better?
Aww, poor fellow, and poor mama too. I hope everyone is feeling better soon and the big outing can happen anyway.
