I've been trying to lighten things up here. To keep a cheerful atmosphere to combat the dark of the coming winter and the dark that stems from our current window impaired state.
Two weeks ago I hung a pastel rainbow play cloth behind the children's kitchen set. It helps a bit I think, and also covers some more foil, which is always good! (oh foil, how I loathe thee...)
Last week I made them this bowl to go with it...

for little treasures, or playing house. Galen likes to wear it as a hat. Elijah has turned it into a tiny cradle more then once.
I knitted up two different rainbow dyed rovings (the bottom is a brighter rainbow, you can kind of see it between the pine cones in the second photo) in a bowl shape and then machine felted it for a simple and sweet advent gift.

That's so beautiful. I wish I could make things like that.
Welcome back, by the way :-)
I'm making rainbows as well, they make me happy.
